While Amsterdam offers many fun clubs and bars for swingers, Hotel Luxer is definitely a great choice due to its location very close to the red light district. It is a swinger friendly hotel but of course you don’t need to be a swinger to stay here.

Location and Swinging

Needless to say that location wise there is an abundance of swinger clubs and bars in the vicinity. Club Paradise is just 10 minutes away by car, and 15 minutes with public transport. What would be worthy to mention is that the old style architecture of most buildings in this district and the fact that most buildings are historically protected, makes most hotels in this area look either small or unclean.

Hotel Luxer however brings you a clean and tidy look after a major renovation of the building, while maintaining the old style aesthetics of Amsterdam when seen from outside.

Conclusion

Swinger-hotels.com would recommend this hotel especially for its great location and entertainment opportunities. Most of all we believe that there is a great majority of excellent reviews by a great variety of guests who seem very pleased with the staff, facilities and overall cleanliness of the hotel.

One of the most important points in our opinion is the fact that the old district in which Hotel Luxer stands, usually has a lot of lower quality hostels and hotels due to its tight spaces and old buildings. Hotel Luxer however seems to be one of the best designed hotels considering the space they were given.

    1. Hi Josie,

Thank you for commenting! We praise this hotel simply because the standards of hotels in that specific area are fairly low.

I hope you choose to visit Amsterdam soon, Its always a blast! 😉

      All the best,

      Matteo

  2. I’m about the visit Amsterdam soon. This one seems like a good value for money. Would be nice if you can include a map to show it’s location.

I like how the room looks and breakfast seems pretty good as well. For cleanness, it only get a 8.9. Can you elaborate why? Since cleanness is my number one consideration when choosing a place to stay.

Also, being so close to the red light district, is the area around this hotel safe?

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more information about Hotel Luxer.

    1. Hi Wei,

Thank you for your comment! First of all I want to stress how safe the Amsterdam red light district actually is. Hotel Luxer is not directly on a red light street and you will soon notice that with such dense foot traffic of both tourists and authorities the danger is not any higher than anywhere else in the city.

As for the cleanliness, the 8.9 stems of an average of how guests reviews cleanliness of the Hotel. This means that of course there can be an unwashed towel or sheet in the midst, and this review will reflect that. However we must consider that Hotel Luxer definitely has a lot of bookings from all around the globe, and the harshness on a review differs from person to person.

I hope you will give it a try!

      All the best,

      Matteo
